During his New Year address on his official YouTube channel, Netanyahu spoke directly to Christian Zionist supporters, emphasizing Israel’s dedication to safeguarding vulnerable religious groups worldwide.

He explained that Israel is expanding its global engagement beyond traditional military measures to confront growing threats against Judeo-Christian values. This approach focuses on both protection and advocacy.

The Prime Minister highlighted that Israel recently navigated a complex “seven-front war” successfully, but a new type of challenge has emerged—one that revolves around influencing public opinion and shaping perceptions, particularly among younger generations.

“This is a battle for hearts and minds,” Netanyahu stated, describing the struggle against threats to Judeo-Christian traditions as a global phenomenon affecting regions including Europe, the United States, Africa, and Nigeria.

He pointed to radical Shiite and Sunni movements, citing Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood as primary actors behind these threats to religious freedom. Netanyahu stressed that Israel is among the few countries actively committed to protecting Christian communities and ensuring their safety and continued growth in high-risk areas.

Israel is reportedly working with other nations to create an international coalition, similar in concept to a United Nations framework, to provide support and protection for Christians facing persecution. Countries mentioned as facing ongoing threats include Nigeria, Syria, Lebanon, and Turkey, highlighting the urgent need for coordinated international action.

Describing the initiative as a form of reciprocity, Netanyahu said Israel’s efforts aim to assist communities that have historically supported Israel, using intelligence and resources to provide protection without disclosing operational specifics.

He concluded by noting that this effort is a key component of Israel’s broader global agenda, reflecting the nation’s ongoing commitment to defending Christian communities and promoting religious freedom.

A video of Netanyahu’s address has also been shared online, allowing viewers to hear his statements directly.

The initiative aims to support peaceful coexistence and is part of broader international diplomatic efforts. Human rights groups have welcomed such initiatives, noting the need for international cooperation in protecting vulnerable communities. This reflects broader global efforts to address religious persecution.
